At U.G. Level

U.G. Classes in various subjects were started in 1964. In this sequence in1973 B.Ed. classes were started and Home Science was added to B.A. curriculum in 1984. Faculty of Science was also started in the session 2005-2006. The institution is very much near success in bringing Commerce Faculty for the students.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

B. A. First Year

Each student will be required to study four subjects, out of which one will be compulsory and three optional.

Compulsory subjects: Hindi Language or General English

Optional subjects:  Hindi Literature, English Literature, Sanskrit, Economics, Education, Sociology, Political Science, Home Science, Music Vocal, Music Instrumental (Tabla)

Caution

  • Practical is compulsory in Home Science, Music and Education. For this it is necessary to pay requisite fee. A student may opt for a maximum of two subjects involving practical.
  • Only two subjects may be opted out of Hindi Literature, Sanskrit and English Literature.
  • Change of subjects after the admission, will not be allowed. Neither any fee deposited will be returned.

B. A. Second Year

The students will be required to study all the four subjects (three optional and one compulsory) that they studied in BA First Year.

B. A. Third Year

The students will not be required to study compulsory subject (Hindi Language/General English). They will be required to study two out of three subjects they opted for in BA First and Second Years.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

B. Sc. First Year students may opt for either of the following two groups:

  • Zoology, Botany and Chemistry
  • Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

They will be required to study the same subjects in B Sc Second Year. In the third year they will be required to study only two of the three subjects from their group.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

This is a one-year programme. Apart from theoretical studies, the trainees are required to opt two of the following subjects for teaching practice Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Civics, History, Economics, Geography, Home Science, Biology, General Science and Mathematics Arrangements for teaching practice are made at the local schools. This is a compulsory part of the programme.

Extra Curricular Activities

Five Extra Curricular activities are part of the B.Ed. syllabus. They are to be essentially done by the trainees. For B Ed students, a Certificate Course in Word Processing (CCWP) is available. The course covers Computer Fundamentals, Word Processing and Role of Computer in Education.

At P.G. Level

In the year 1986 with the opening of M.A. Classes in Sanskrit and Political Science, the college became a Post Graduation institution. Thereafter, M.A. classes in English and Economics were added in the year 2001. M.A. in Home Science was started in 2002 under the same Self Finance Scheme. M.Ed. classes were also started in the session 2005-2006.

Master of Arts (M.A.)

The following subjects are available in MA Part I and Part II:

  • Political Science
  • Sanskrit
  • English
  • Economics
  • Home Science

Of these English, Economics and Home Science are in self-finance category.

Master of Education (M .Ed.)

Admissions to M.Ed. programme are made as per rules framed by the National Council of Teacher Education and MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly.

At Research Level -

  • Ph.D. in Sanskrit
  • Ph.D. in Home Science
